Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) is method of awarding credits toward your associates, bachelors or mater’s degree by evaluating documented relevant prior learning. Almeda University allows anyone to apply through PLA to be evaluated in awarding of credits.
Anyone who has well documented work experience or students with previous credits are viable candidates to received credits toward a degree. Through the PLA method experiences and credits are assessed against an established set of standards in determining academic validity. These are then applied toward your degree.
Almeda University use their seasoned professionals expertise in the review of those who apply. Credits are awarded based on demonstrated and documented learning based on experiences not just from the experiences alone.
When applying for PLA credits, it is very important to clearly document all of your prior experiences work history, prior college credits, etc. The best way in representing this is by providing the following forms of documentation along with you resume:
Licenses, certificates, training courses, workshops, seminars, transcripts from prior schools, etc.
